Participants
Whether you’re an Explore participant this year or a past participant, Languages at Work offers job opportunities in your second language.
Current-year Explore participants
Following your participation in the Explore program, the Languages at Work program offers you the opportunity to continue the adventure by working in the region where you completed the Explore program.
Once you have been accepted to the Explore program, you can create an account on the Young Canada Works site. This will enable you to be visible to employers and to search for a job in the site’s database.
Languages at Work operate through four institutions with program officers who support youth with registration, help them find an employer, and provide guidance throughout the program. The institutions are:
- Université Sainte-Anne, FR (Pointe-de-l’Église, NS);
- Université de Moncton, FR (NB);
- Université du Québec à Montréal, FR (QC);
- University of British Columbia, EN (BC).
In theory, every Explore participant that participated in Explore the same year has access to Languages at Work after completing the immersion program. However, if they choose to attend Explore at an institution other than those listed above, they will not receive assistance in finding housing, an employer, or navigating the program.
This year, we also have four positions available at the Musée du Fjord in La Baie (QC) for Explore participants at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi! View the positions

Former participants
The Languages and Work program gives former Explore program participants the opportunity to work for educational institutions offering the program. The available jobs are related to the Explore program, ranging from facilitator to teacher, or even administrative or logistical support for the program, allowing you to relive the experience from a different perspective.
Once you have confirmed your eligibility for Languages at Work (see section below), you can create an account and complete your profile on the Young Canada Work website (see the “Resources” section below). This will allow you to browse the job listings offered by Explore institutions.
Before being listed, jobs go through an application and selection period from employers. They are only posted on the platform after being validated, starting at the end of March. Before that, it is normal not to find any job offers.
You can also contact educational establishments offering the Explore program to ask them if they are looking for employees for Languages at Work.
