Employers
The Languages at Work program provides wage subsidy for employers who want to offer employment opportunities to young people looking to work in their second language.
There are two types of funding:
- For employers near an establishment offering the Explore program;
- For educational establishments offering the Explore program.
6-8 weeks Employers
Languages at Work enables young people who have taken part in the Explore immersion program to work in their second language after their immersion.
In addition to being submitted by an eligible employer, the job must offer housing options for employees (on-site housing, residence provided by the university, or short-term housing options near the workplace). If the employer provides housing, the costs incurred by the employer may be reimbursed. If the employee has to pay for their accommodation, the program would offer a wage increase of $2.35/hour to be paid by the employer in addition to the hourly wage, reimbursed at 100% by Languages and Work.

- Jobs lasting 6 to 8 weeks;
